My story

This year, we are thrilled to extend our support to the Africa Foundation - Wildlife Ranger Challenge (WRC) 2023, from the heart of Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our combined &Beyond-Africa Foundation team draws its name from an endangered fish species in Zanzibar, renowned for its mesmerising colour-changing ability while swimming and reflecting excitement when chasing prey.

At the forefront of our conservation efforts, Africa's rangers play a vital role in safeguarding our planet and its inhabitants. From endangered wildlife and marine life to our extraordinary landscapes and marine environments, they are the guardians of these natural wonders.

Our mission is to raise essential funds that will propel initiatives that will ultimately protect our island seascapes. These donations will enable the continued work of our Oceans Without Borders Community & Conservation rangers and support critical funding for all participating ranger teams.

We invite you to join us on this journey towards leaving our world a better place. Every contribution counts, and together we can make a lasting impact. Your generous donation will not only support our rangers but will also cement your commitment to preserving our precious planet

Wildlife rangers operate on the very frontline of conservation across Africa, routinely making personal sacrifices to put their lives on the line to protect the continent’s magnificent wildlife and habitats. Yet they are so much more than just law enforcement officers: rangers are teachers, community support workers, mediators, researchers and so much more. Unfortunately, resources are not keeping pace with the scale of the challenges they are trying to tackle. For the fourth year running, the Wildlife Ranger Challenge sets out to redress this, by raising critical funding to cover operating costs, including salaries and equipment, for over 10,000 rangers. This will help them protect threatened wildlife and some of the continent's most vulnerable areas, while also protecting communities and securing coexistence with wildlife, as well as providing for their own families.

Support a unique conservation initiative empowering and uniting wildlife rangers across Africa.
